Look Out Beauty School Here I Come!

Last Thursday I went and got my hair cut...
Madeyln's hair looked like this this morning...
but I suppose she was jealous of mom's hair cut and decided she needed one to.

This is only a fraction of the hair she cut, it was on the couch, on the other side of the room.

I wanted to just shave her head but after I cut off the long part that was left she was in tears, so I tried to call a friend who cuts hair but she was not home. So I took her to a place called Cookie Cutters where she was spoiled rotten for cutting her own hair.

She got to pick a movie to watch and what car she would like to sit in.

You can't see but she even got sparkles in her hair and a sucker and balloon when she left. What a spoiled girl for doing something she was not suppose to!

I must say they did a pretty good job! She had to do a little comb over since the hair under that is cut to her scalp!!!

Now I know that when I have that feeling to take the scissors away(she was cutting out shapes on paper) I should take them away!!!

I have to say I didn't even get mad and for me that is a huge deal. When I first saw it I laughed and so did my two friends that were over when it happened but then I got serious and took her to her room. I think she knew that she had done something wrong because she did not even throw a fit, which is what always happens when she is sent to her room. When I cut the long part and saw her tears I realized that was punishment enough. She loves to get her hair done and to play with all her hair stuff. I guess hair is just hair it will grow back. I don't think she will ever cut her own hair again!!!

How sad! The last picture is gorgeous with her blue eyes. What a great salon. If they had something like that here maybe Emily would sit still to get her hair cut. I love the cut. I want it. :) Good job at not getting mad!

I remember the time when I cut my hair... I was about the same age as Madelyn too. I think it happens to every little girl, so watch out for Brooklyn!!

I cut mine too!! but... I shaved it so my mom had no choice. Madelyn's new hair cut looks sooo cute - they did such a great job!

That is one serious hack job! She doesn't mess around. ;) I love the finished product, though. She's beautiful.

She went from looking scared to death to looking like a smiling little princess. Her hair really is cute short, but it is too bad there was drama to get it that way. Can I steal her and Hadley sometime this week for a playdate!?

Amber,
It's been so long! I'm so glad for blogs -- they let me catch up on everything I've been missing. I can't believe how big your little ones are getting. They are all so beautiful!
We are hoping to see you guys at Krystell's wedding reception, if you are going to be there. It would be so fun to see you all again. Hope to see you in a few weeks.

I think her hair looks really cute short. We go to cookie cutters for Ben because I have no idea how to cut hair. They always do a great job with him. He doesn't wiggle or cry.
